Welcome to all returning and new mite skaters. As I enter my 26th year of coaching I am very excited with the skill level and potential that I have seen. This upcoming season we will be teaching proper mechanics and skills. As well as individual player positioning and advanced game strategies that are needed to reach any level they desire. I have seen first hand how consistent skating, shooting, passing and strength conditioning even at the mite level produces confident and skilled skaters. Most importantly teaching them that our game is filled with passion and fun that still drives me after 55 years!
I look forward to seeing players at the pre skates and then at the Coyotes Tryouts on August 22nd and 24th at 6:00 pm.

We are looking forward to an exceptional hockey season!

It is with great excitement the Hoffman Estates Park District has approved and will move forward with the construction of a state of the art off ice hockey training facility located at the Triphahn Center. The hockey program will assume the current upper shelf gymnastics training facility above the gym. The area makes great sense as it has a similar shape to reduced size rink, which will make it ideal for realistic team game training and floor/road hockey as done currently at Pine Park along with all aspects of off ice training.
This area will include:
Hoffman Estates Park District Assistant Manager Ice Operations/Hockey Manager Masters Level Coach Randy Jordan states “ this opportunity is a dream come true. As a longtime coach dedicated to helping passionate players gain the tools to excel, I am very excited about this opportunity to spend more time working with our players that are striving to be the best they can be. The park district is giving us the space and financial approval to create the envy of all hockey training areas”
As any high level player will say…great stick skills, game vision, nuance learning and conditioning comes from hours of pond or road hockey. Different than other hockey training centers, this setup will enable players and teams to train on EVERY aspect of the game and quickly transfer those concepts to on the ice.
Work to move the gymnastics equipment will begin in November with the reconstruction to commence soon after with the plan to become operable by approximately end of January 2017. The layout plans are still being worked on.
If you are a player wanting to excel, you are going to want to be part of this totally unique opportunity to master all areas of the game with unmatched training opportunities!
THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS TO MATT, HIS FAMILY, AND THE ENTIRE HOCKEY COMMUNITY THAT HE TOUCHED IN SOME WAY.... GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR PATH TO RECOVERY
